Recent friction involving a provocative round of missile tests by North Korea and subsequent ongoing diplomatic efforts to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula and avoid a devastating nuclear conflict has prompted louder calls by many nations for the prohibition and elimination of all nuclear weapons.
